Taters Story

In 1985, a little girl named Kala was born. She spent time in and out of college while working hard every day to discover what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.

She got her nickname when she became Aunt Kala to all the children in her family. She loved her grandmother’s potato salad so much that she would eat all of it at every holiday dinner. Because of that, her whole family started calling her “Tater.”

At 41 years old, with no children and after experiencing some failed relationships, Kala decided she wanted to pursue her dream of opening a restaurant or food truck.

After moving to a new state in June 2025, she decided to start with an online store. Her goal is to grow the business until she can eventually purchase and operate her own food truck.

So here she is today — makin’ TATERS!!!!

Traditional Baked Potato

A traditional baked potato is a whole, unpeeled Russet potato baked in an oven until the outer skin is crisp and the interior is light and fluffy. It is served piping hot, sliced down the center, and fluffed to absorb melted toppings.
